WE NEED EACH OTHER WE LOVE EACH OTHER AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

i remember being 24 and constantly asking myself how i was going to create the life i want …….. literally never occurred to me to ask what kind of life i might be proud of. i love ur mind.

i just read a bell hooks interview where she spoke abt living with integrity, as a congruence between your feelings, words, and actions; reading ur words, i think this is absolutely a path toward ease and away from fear, committing to yourself, & to being yourself. because the cost of fear, the cost of denying yourself, is too high!!! i think this also gets to what we owe each other in terms of being reliable and allowing people to love you. anyways ily ily

What have you done for another this year in support of building a more beautiful, interconnected, interdependent life? - I've continued tutoring students in math, understanding their academic struggles (esp. post Covid), and encouraging them to continue to pursue their studies/higher education.

Something I’ve done for another this year to continue to build a more interconnected/beautiful life is train the new community book distributor (my old job) at the book non profit where I worked. The giving library where I worked continues to be a great space for me even though I haven’t worked there for years. They were going through some transition so I took a couple weeks this summer to make sure the new hire felt comfortable and supported coming into the role. I love continuing to be connected to the non-profit, its the first place I went when I finished my finals, just to celebrate and see some friendly faces.
